Language definition file

The "Language definition file" tells NetAlive how to execute functions written in various computer languages. Net Alive! applications contain a text or binary representation of a function and the name of the computer language they are written in. The language definition file gives NetAlive command strings and other information for each language. If a developer creates an application using a new computer language, they are also responsible for extending the language definition file.

Default language definition file

The "language definition file" has the name "langauge.def" and must be in the same directory as that containing the NetAlive executable.

Default language definitions

The NetAlive executable contains a basic language definition file. If the specified language definition file does not exist, NetAlive creates it with the basic language definition file.

Source Language

The source language list box gets loaded with all the languages listed in the language definition file.

Enable Language

The language dialog lets the user control the level of support for each language known to NetAlive Changing language definitions in other ways requires downloading a new version of the language definition file. The levels of support for each language are:
